Civil/HVAC QA/QC Engineer for CAM Plant Project, Kotka

We are looking for a Civil/ HVAC QA/QC Engineer to join our clients China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. team for the Kotka CAM Plant project.

China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC) is a world-renowned international contractor and a leading provider of comprehensive services across the entire industrychain for both public and private sectors. CHEC has been engaged as the main contractor for the CAM Plant project in Kotka, responsible for the implementation and construction of the plant. The position is project-based, with an expected duration of approximately one year, and the work is located in Keltakallio, Kotka.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing QA/QC procedures for structural and architectural works, including facades and fit-outs.
• Conducting site inspections to monitor the quality of materials, workmanship, and compliance with design specifications.
• Coordinating with construction teams, design consultants, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
• Preparing and maintain quality documentation, including ITPs, checklists, inspection records, and final handover documents.
• Ensuring all works meet Finnish regulatory standards and EU construction regulations.
• Assisting with permit compliance and project closeout procedures in accordance with Finnish authorities.
• Providing training and technical guidance to site personnel on QA/QC protocols and standards.

What we expect from you:

• Bachelors or masters degree in Civil Engineering, HVAC, or related discipline.
• Several years of experience in QA/QC roles for structural and architectural construction.
• Strong familiarity with Finnish building regulations, construction permit processes, and handover requirements.
• Good communication skills and strong coordination ability with design teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
