IT Architect, Helsinki/Lahti/Tampere

About the role

As a Hybrid Cloud Architect, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution. You will work in a team of eight to ensure a reliable and scalable infrastructure while staying close to technical implementation.

 

Work tasks

This is not a role where you'll spend your days only studying theoretical architecture frameworks. We're looking for someone who is eager to learn solution design, solve technical challenges, and work closely with senior architects, business stakeholders, and IT partners to get things done. As our client is building our future IT landscape, you'll have the opportunity to grow your expertise and influence technological decisions while staying close to implementation and delivery. You will work across cloud services, infrastructure, integrations, security, and enterprise applications, helping ensure our technological environment supports both office and manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing In this role, guided by experienced team members, you will:

• Participate in designing and developing solutions across Azure and on-premises environments
• Support cloud migration and modernization projects
• Work with internal teams and external partners to deliver infrastructure and platform solutions
• Support the improvement of integrations between business applications, manufacturing systems, and data platforms
• Help define and apply technical standards and best practices
• Learn and drive automation and Infrastructure as Code approaches
• Assist in ensuring solutions are secure, reliable, and scalable
• Participate in technology projects from planning through implementation
• Evaluate new technologies and suggest practical improvements

We are looking for

• Relevant IT education (Bachelor's or Master's degree) or equivalent foundational experience in IT infrastructure/cloud services
• Basic hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure or hybrid cloud environments
• Strong interest in cloud architecture, infrastructure, and enterprise platforms
• Basic understanding of IT concepts such as networking, identity management, and cybersecurity
• Interest in automation, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud operations (FinOps)
• Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• A practical, hands-on, and curious approach to technology
• Fluent English skills

It is meritorious if you have

• Good knowledge of the Finnish language
• Experience with SAP, data platforms, or AI solutions
• Background in manufacturing environments
• Microsoft Azure Certification

Other information:

• Start: As soon as possible
• Employment period: Permanent contract
• Location: Helsinki, Lahti, Tampere. Occasional visits to Lahti. At least three days at the office per week
